Watch out for Fees
It may be obvious that you’ll need to purchase a ticket and pay for your baggage, but before you get in line at the counter, you should know that Spirit charges all sorts of fees. For example, if you have a carry-on bag that exceeds size restrictions by just 1 inch, they’ll charge you $100. Other annoying fees include: booking tickets at kiosks (rather than online), selecting your own seat and printing boarding passes at home. As a rule of thumb, it’s best to book everything ahead of time and avoid paying extra fees whenever possible.
